See You This Saturday!
———— Saturday, March 28 —-———
COURAGE IS CONTAGIOUS
Join SGFI and thousands of others this Saturday, March 28 from 11am – 2pm to celebrate our rights on No Kings Day 3.0. We’ll gather at Pasadena City College, then march to rousing music along Colorado Blvd to Pasadena City Hall, where we’ll gather again for a rally. Raise your voices with your friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens to support the inspiring words of our speakers and each other.
Our third No Kings protest will clearly demonstrate the growth of the resistance movement against the policies of this corrupt and cruel government. Over 3,000 locally organized events have been confirmed in every part of the United States and in countries throughout the world. The first event saw an estimated 5 million people in attendance; another 7 million showed up in October. Organizers are aiming for nearly 9 million people to turn out in March. It will be the largest day of protest in US history!
There are people who don’t believe that protests can create change and choose not to participate. Here’s what Robert Hubbel says to those who throw up their hands and say there’s nothing they can do.
“In hundreds of examples over the last half century, we can see a pattern: Protests don’t make a difference, until they do. It is difficult to know when protests will make the quantum leap from “not effective” to “regime change overnight.” But we do know that unless we continue our protests, we will never reach the tipping point. We may have already reached that point, or it may come this month or in six months. Tipping points can only be discerned in retrospect.
So…let’s focus on moving forward–because the tipping point isn’t the stopping point. It is the beginning of the next phase of the resistance—the era of accountability and justice, rehabilitation and redemption, and renewal and growth.”
When families are under pressure and freedoms are threatened, silence is not an option. We must stand together and speak out in one unbreakable voice: No thugs terrorizing our neighbors, no spending billions on an unwanted war when people can’t afford healthcare, no cover-ups of the illegal and immoral activities of people in power.
At the rally you can expect a lively mix of creative signs and costumes, great music, inspiring speakers and helpful information on what you can do to help in our fight against the excesses of the Trump administration and their increased attacks on democracy.
Please bring your family, friends, and neighbors! This is going to be the biggest, most visible protest yet by far. It will be loud, it will be joyous, and it will give you hope. See you on Saturday!
MARCH FROM PCC TO CITY HALL

VOLUNTEER TO BE A SAFETY MONITOR
We need A LOT of Safety Monitors for a protest this large. You would provide information to protestors and make sure they stay safe and follow city rules and regulations. You’ll also get to wear a super cool fluorescent vest, blow whistles, and lead enthusiastic followers at crosswalks.
