SGFI Events

San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible was founded in February 2025, with 2 dozen people sitting around a dining room table. Led by experienced activists and dedicated volunteers, we quickly hit our stride with well-attended events.

This past weekend, I stood with our community demanding ICE OUT NOW.

ICE Out for Good
January 10, 2026
Garfield and Colorado

Indivisible, MoveOn, the American Civil Liberties Union, Voto Latino, United We Dream, 50501, and the Disappeared in America Campaign of the Not Above the Law coalition, along with a broad coalition of groups across the country, called for a coordinated ICE Out For Good Weekend of Action on Saturday, January 10th, and Sunday, January 11th, to demand accountability, honor the lives lost, and make visible the human cost of ICE’s actions.

With 36 hours notice, San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible organized a rally for Saturday. We met ICE’s violence with a determined nonviolent protest that brought out an energized crowd of people ready to stand up against the violence and lawlessness of ICE. We estimate 1-2K people showing up on short notice, with enthusiastic honks and sign-waving from passing cars.

Adding to our voice was vibrant protest music and rousing speeches by representatives Judy Chu and Sasha Renee Perez, clergy, and other resistance leaders.

It was fantastic to see how inspired people were to join us, as well as over 1000 protests around the country. We hope the momentum and defiance will continue throughout the year as we face down oppression.

SGFI Venezuela Protest
January 6, 2026
Lake and Colorado

San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible held a truly peaceful and patriotic rally in downtown Pasadena on January 6. A couple of hundred people voiced their protests about this regime’s actions in Venezuela and its ongoing threats to other countries. Although a relatively small event, it grabbed attention from car drivers and passersby, who enthusiastically honked and mingled to support the protestors. We hope to continue having frequent spontaneous rallies like this between larger actions to keep the spark going—encouraging awareness and participation in this fight for our democracy.
